Who are National Business Communications?

NBC is a business to business telecom services provider. We strive to offer the most competitive rates on the market, matched with unparalleled services. With years of experience in the internet market, NBC have built a professional partnerships portfolio with industry-leading suppliers, to source your business the best rates and data connections available. We’re passionate about providing tailored solutions, future proof technologies, leading customer service and most importantly, unbeatable package deals for small businesses.

Will I have to change my lines and number?

No. There is no need to install new lines or change your telephone number. Your line and telephone number belong to the fantastic Openreach network and this is where your services will remain. All that changes is that NBC will become your new billing supplier. Should you require additional lines, or data connection upgrades, NBC will take care of everything.

Will changing supplier affect my business?

No. NBC manage all necessary processes, which means the impact on your business is extremely minimal. Once we have acquired the services on your line, your billing will be assigned to NBC and we will ensure that you are equipped with the right equipment and apparatus in order for you to continue with your day to day. Allow us to take the hassle out of change and provide you with the most efficient connections available to your business.

How will my telecoms billing work?

NBC becomes your new billing provider at your agreed rates. Once you have migrated to NBC, you will receive one final bill from your current supplier and as of the following month, you will be billed by us. As a business committed to reducing carbon footprints, our preferred method of sending bills is via email. As per industry and direct debit guarantee regulations, you will be informed of the bill amount at least ten days before payments are taken.

What is a hosted & SIP solution?

A hosted or SIP system enables your telecoms to be routed through a broadband connection, thus enabling your voice and information data to be more efficient, quicker and stronger, than conventional lines. ISDN and a majority of the PSTN infrastructure will be shut down by 2025, meaning all telephony in the UK will be heavily reliant on cloud based services. Switch today to future-proof your business.

Why can’t I find you on comparison sites?

This is a common misconception. Comparison sites are built to offer you rates from a smaller selection of common providers, offering supply channels designed for residential and social premises and not particularly for business use. NBC are connected to over fifty suppliers, enabling us to perform searches based on very specific criteria and best suited to your business needs and requirements. At NBC, we’re committed to always being 100% transparent about our deals and packages and there are never any hidden fees.

How will you use my personal information and data?

NBC is completely compliant with GDPR conditions out set by the changes in regulation as of 25th May 2018. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.

What are the office hours?

NBC is open between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm in line with Openreach. Our customer service team are available to assist with all enquiries.

Business Broadband

How much can you save with NBC?

You could save over £150 per year when you switch with us. At NBC, we pride ourselves on offering competitive prices for our customers. You won’t find us on comparative websites. This is because we’re specialised in providing commercial packages suitable for business capacities, whereas comparison sites use suppliers that cater for residential and social customers, not businesses.

We only connect with industry-leading suppliers in order to provide you with the best broadband options available. All of this means that you’re getting the coverage and capacity you need, at a price that works for you.

Why choose NBC for business broadband packages?

At NBC we work hard to provide our customers with fast and reliable broadband packages for their businesses at the cheapest prices. When it comes to commercial broadband, you don’t need to compromise on quality over cost. We are connected to over fifty suppliers who specialise in business broadband packages.

This means that we can provide you with the best deals that meet your connectivity requirements. Not only do we strive to ensure you’re getting the best price for your business broadband, but we also go above and beyond to offer top quality customer service.

We all know that technical issues can occur and these can cause delays within day-to-day business operations. That’s why we provide reliable and efficient support for our customers so that you can get on with what you do best.

Will my business be affected by switching providers?

No. NBC will manage all necessary processes, so that impact on your day to day business is minimal. Once we have acquired the services on your line, your billing will be assigned to NBC and we will ensure that you are provided with the right equipment. Everything will be ready to go for you, straight out of the box so you can set up easily and get back to what’s important. We take the hassle out of switching and provide you with the most reliable connections available to your business.

What is a hosted & SIP solution and is it right for my business?

A hosted or SIP system allows your telecoms to be routed through a broadband connection. This enables your voice and information to be more efficient, stronger and faster than traditional lines. Integrated Services Digital Networks and most of the PTSN infrastructure will be shut down by 2025. This means that all telephone-based communications will move towards cloud-based technology. By switching today to our Cloud Voice package, you can future-proof your business.

Will I have to change my lines and phone number?

No. Your line and telephone number belong to the Openreach network. As we operate on the Openreach network, there is no need to install new lines or change your telephone number. Openreach will continue to service and maintain your lines which means that the only change you’ll notice is that NBC will become your new billing supplier. Should you need additional lines, or data connection upgrades, NBC will take care of everything.

Business Phone Line

Will I need to change my number?

No. Having to change your business phone number can be disruptive and cause confusion with customers, making it more difficult for them to contact you. That’s why when you switch with NBC, there’s no need to change your number. This is because your service will remain on the Openreach network, you’re just switching providers. So you can save money on your plan, and keep your number at the same time!

Why can’t I find you on comparison sites?

Comparison sites, although popular, are tailored for residential or household needs. By not using comparison sites, we cut out the middle man to provide you with more affordable packages suitable for business use.  NBC only connects with industry-leading suppliers, enabling us to perform searches based on very specific criteria and best suited to your business requirements.

Will my business be affected by switching?

No. NBC takes the hassle out of switching your supplier. Once we’ve acquired the services on your line, billing will be assigned to NBC and we assure that you have the correct information and technology to continue your day to day operations. Switching to NBC is simple and hassle-free. Our tech experts are on hand to ensure that you’re not faced with any technical issues so you can get back to more important things.

Single order Generic Ethernet Access (SoGEA) Cloud Voice

Why is SoGEA cheaper than other options?

SoGEA broadband is much cheaper than alternative products like Fibre Broadband or FTTC.  This is because you only pay to access a broadband data connection. This means that you can expect a smaller bill as you won’t have a landline included in your plan.
SoGEA packages are designed to be used together along with a hosted phone system like CloudVoice. Using SoGEA allows you to access reliable and superfast broadband at a cheaper cost than other broadband services.

Why choose NBC for SoGEA?

Ensuring your business is future-proof is the best way to manage your business communications. With BT discontinuing traditional phone lines in 2025 (WLR withdrawal), the need for an alternative to broadband services will change dramatically. With many other broadband or internet services, a phone line is included, causing users to pay more for a service. By using SoGEA from NBC, you can gain a fast and reliable connection without having to pay out for a phone line. Not only do we source the best business connectivity options at amazing prices, but we also provide excellent customer support so you’re never left in the dark.

How will switching to SoGEA benefit my small business?

Every penny counts for any business, especially smaller companies. SoGEA allows NBC to provide businesses with a single broadband service. This means that businesses don’t need to be tied up with phone bills if they don’t need them.  Small businesses that switch to SoGEA are more likely to expect a cheaper rate without having to compromise on reliable and fast broadband.

Where is SoGEA & SoGFast Available?

SoGEA is not available everywhere but it is available to 28 million premises across the UK. It will become more and more common, and we can notify you when it’s available in your area. You can use our availability checker to find out what is available at your premises, or get in touch with us to set up a reminder.

Is my business suitable for SoGEA?

Any business can benefit from switching to SoGEA with NBC, however, there are location limitations. SoGEA is not currently widely available across the UK yet. However, SoGEA will be accessible wherever fibre broadband is in use. So this means that if you already have fibre broadband access, you’ll most likely to be able to switch to SoGEA. You can easily check if our services are available in your area when you select our products online.

Is SoGEA or SoGFast different in performance than FTTC & GFast?

No, you will receive exactly the same performance as you currently do. In some bases you will get a better performance since there is no call traffic that can interfere with integrity of the service.

What Speeds are available with SoGEA Fibre Broadband?

SoGEA is available in 40Mbps/10Mbps, 55Mbps/10Mbps and 80Mbps/20Mbps speeds. SoGFast offers speeds of 160Mbps/30Mbps and 330Mbps/50Mbps.

What is Cloud Voice?

Cloud Voice is best described as a virtual phone system hosted in the cloud. You no longer need an office-based system to benefit from the best call management features. Future proof your business communications. Our Cloud Voice service provides functionality to perform effortlessly combined with flexibility to achieve more for your business.

How does Cloud Voice work?

Cloud Voice works by making calls through an internet connection, instead of traditional phone lines. With the WLR withdrawal deadline planned for 2025, businesses will benefit from future-proofing their call system today. Cloud Voice allows calls to be faster, more efficient and more secure.
Cloud Voice works by deconstructing your voice into a digital file that is sent as data over the internet to the call recipient. One of the greatest benefits of Cloud Voice is that there’s no need to invest in specialist equipment, as it can be accessed through any device that is connected to the internet.
